Throughout this manual, we have focused on many factors that play a role in regard to the location, duration, depth, visibility and time of day of your dives. We have also briefly discussed other considerations such as currents, shore and boat diving, and dive management.
The knowledge, skills and techniques from the previous chapters — navigation, night diving and deep diving, are all applicable to boat diving and will be of great value when you dive in currents. We have emphasize good buoyancy control from the beginning of this course, because it is a vital skill to master for all diving conditions. Even more so when diving in currents. We have dedicated this chapter of the SNSI Advanced Open Water Diver course to boat and current diving because they are applicable to all of the other techniques we have covered thus far.
